Baji's Papadum Chips
For party munchies that are a bit exotic, try these bite-size
cups strong enough to scoop most dips but light in the mouth.
Don't expect the ethereal crunch of real pappadams, which
are made with lentil, rice or bean flour. Baji's, made from
potato starch and fava bean flour, drew some negative comments,
but the intriguing taste outweighed those quibbles. Favorite
flavors were the Traditional Tandoori and Creamy Yogurt and
Dill. Suggested retail: $2.99 for 4 ounces, at Whole Foods.
